Music and the American Rescue Plan Webinar

Join in for a panel discussion to hear case studies on how creative leaders in government and the private sector across the country are advocating for funds from the CARES Act and American Rescue Plan Act. They will discuss examples of how to advocate to access these funds, and ideas on how to use the funds to benefit creative businesses and nonprofits, artists, musicians, filmmakers, and other creatives.

In partnership with Sound Diplomacy, gener8tor has been actively working with states, counties, and cities around the country to provide direction to those looking to understand funding allocations within the American Rescue Plan. As civic leaders begin to determine where to allocate funding, it is important to highlight the disproportionate impact the COVID-19 pandemic has had on the creative industry and the opportunities within ARP to lay the groundwork for a strong and equitable recovery.

Speakers:
Shain Shapiro, Group Founder & CEO, Sound Diplomacy (UK) | Moderator
Abby Kurin, Executive Director, Tulsa Office for Film, Music, Arts & Culture and Vice President of Film, Arts & Culture at Tulsa Regional Tourism (USA)
Brendon Anthony, Director, Texas Music Office (USA)
Michael Nutter, Former Mayor of Philadelphia (USA)
